Awarded: FGvW one of the top 50 commercial law firms in Germany

Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner (FGvW) maintains its strong position as one of the leading commercial law firms in Germany. In the 20th edition of the "JUVE Handbuch Wirtschaftskanzleien", the editorial team of the industry magazine JUVE has again included us in the group of the Top 50.

Extensive surveys amongst law firms, corporate officers, representatives of public authorities and employees from the fields of justice and science form the basis for this yearly published handbook. The strictly independent editorial team draws on 20 years of experience with the legal market. Of the approximately 1,400 law firms investigated by JUVE, 810 were included in the handbook this year. Only the best of them are included in the ranking of the top 50 law firms.

Our firm is particularly mentioned in the areas of corporate law and corporate transactions (M&A), trade and liability, trademark and competition law, insurance contract law, representation and advice in litigation cases as well as distribution systems.

Our Cologne office "has made a name for itself in a number of specialist disciplines throughout Germany, including distribution and insurance law as well as litigation in manager liability and product liability cases. How well positioned FGvW already is in this respect is underlined, for example, by the fact that the new federal entity for the final disposal of nuclear waste has appointed them as legal advisors with regard to liability and insurance issues".

According to JUVE, the Freiburg office remains "one of the market leaders". This is due in no small part to our continuous promotion of young talents, which ensures sustainable office development.
