Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner strengthens Labor Law Practice in Frankfurt
Since August 1, 2020, Volker Marquart supports our Frankfurt labor law practice as Of Counsel. With this addition to the team led by partner Sabine Schröter, the existing expertise in labor law advice in restructuring and reorganization processes is significantly strengthened once again.
Volker Marquart is a proven specialist in the planning, negotiation and implementation of complex staff changes in large and Mittelstand companies as well as a seasoned adviser in disputes with executives. He has decades of experience first as in-house lawyer (with HERAEUS Holding, Bosch Telecom, debis/Daimler) and then as external lawyer in numerous projects, which he was responsible for at the interface between executive boards, management and human resources departments. Among others, these include reorganizations under labor law on behalf of SAP, Deutsche Bank/Sinius, MTU Friedrichshafen, Schuler AG and SEB Bank, including its subsidiaries. Marquart had been working in his own law firm for more than 20 years and is now consciously breaking new ground by joining a full-service unit with FGvW.

Our nationwide labor law practice of Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner currently has 14 professionals. Further expansion is planned, particularly at the Berlin and Frankfurt offices. In this way, we are taking into account the strong increase in demand in the restructuring sector and at the same time we are strengthening our established labor law practice.
