FGvW appoints two new partners and a local partner as of January 1, 2024

Our equity partnership is growing again at the beginning of the year. On January 1, 2024, Stephanie Mayer (specialist lawyer for labor and employment law) and Jonas Laudahn (commercial and corporate law, M&A) will join the partnership. Ann-Cathrin Tönnes LL.M. (Intellectual Property Law) will be appointed Local Partner at the same time. FGvW is thus consistently expanding its advice in three key areas of law.

Stephanie Mayer has been working as a lawyer at the Freiburg office since 2011 and is already a Local Partner. She advises and represents employers and executives in all areas of labor and employment law. She is also regularly involved in M&A transactions and restructurings.

Jonas Laudahn has also been advising national and international clients at the Freiburg office since 2018 in all areas of commercial and corporate law (including dispute resolution and arbitration proceedings). One of his main areas of expertise is advising on cross-border contract negotiations in international commercial law.

Ann-Cathrin Tönnes has been working as a lawyer in the firm since 2020 and advises national and international clients in the field of intellectual property law at the Cologne office. A particular focus of her work is in the field of product counterfeiting, both in the context of ancillary copyright protection under competition law and in design and copyright law.

"The addition of Stephanie Mayer and Jonas Laudahn to the partnership is further proof that we rightly rely on organic growth from within our own ranks and the development opportunities that first-class young lawyers have in our firm. We would like to congratulate both of them and wish them every success in their new positions," explains Carsten Laschet, CEO of Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner. "In addition to the two partner appointments, we are very pleased to be able to expand our ranks of local partners with another successful young colleague and thus consistently expand our market presence," adds Managing Partner Sabine Schröter.
