Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner advises SÜDVERS Group on Acquisition of FiMO Assekuranzmakler

Effective as of 1 October 2014, the SÜDVERS Group from Au/Freiburg has acquired Leipzig-based FiMO Assekuranzmakler, a manager-owned insurance broker business established in 1990. The business has 20 employees and a premium volume of 12 million Euro.

FiMO Assekuranzmakler has established itself as a specialist in the market for credit insurances, the construction and building business, and factory and machinery construction. It is also a market leader in the field of guarantee / suretyship insurance. With the acquisition of this traditional Leipzig business, SÜDVERS will be able to considerably expand its service offering and strengthen its presence in Eastern Germany. SÜDVERS Group’s strategic goal is to become the main contact partner for family businesses nationwide.

SÜDVERS brokers insurances for industrial businesses and large concerns and has approximately 380 employees at 15 locations. With a premium volume of 282 million Euro, the business, which was established in 1948, belongs to the ten largest providers in this field of business.
