We introduce: Sebastian von Lossow

As a child, I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up: first a professional soccer player, then a basketball star. It became clear quite early on that neither Karl-Heinz Rummenigge nor Michael Jordan had any reason to seriously worry about losing their jobs. What remained is my passion for strategy and shared success. My path  wasn’t  surprising—only the playing field has changed.

For more than twenty years, I’ve been guiding entrepreneurs through important decisions. For me, good advice starts with curiosity. I need to understand how a company works, how it makes money, and what makes it successful. Only with this perspective can you recognize the company’s business objective. The best solutions are those that no one talks about later because they work seamlessly from the very beginning. In this role, I see myself as a sparring partner for midcap clients.

The fact that I still enjoy practicing law with the same enthusiasm after two decades is thanks to our clients, who act with courage, and the unique culture of our firm. Our professional standards are high, and our interactions with one another are open and straightforward.

Things are little livelier at home. Two teenagers always provide a different perspective. My free time belongs entirely to my wife and children—preferably while playing sports or traveling. We don’t have a single favorite place, even though for many years the Matterhorn has fascinated me for many years with its sheer presence.

Most recently, I was captivated by Phil Knight’s “Shoe Dog.” This book about true entrepreneurship is marked by various life journeys—and is fascinatingly honest. Perfect CVs rarely impress me. admire people who forge their own path, take responsibility, and learn from their mistakes.. Inspiration can be found everywhere—if you’re willing to look closely.
