FGvW expands real estate team in Frankfurt with Prof. Dr. Martin Meißner and Cihangir Agdemir as new partners

We are further expanding our real estate law practice group and strengthening our Frankfurt office with the addition of Professor Dr Martin Meißner and Cihangir Agdemir as partners in October. The experienced real estate lawyers are joining from Reed Smith.

Professor Dr Martin Meißner was a founding partner of Reed Smith's Frankfurt office and a member of the firm's Real Estate Group. He has many years of experience advising national and international clients on real estate transactions, project developments, and asset management. His expertise covers shopping centers and retail parks, logistics and hotel properties, office buildings, residential portfolios, and data centers. Professor Meißner is also experienced in real estate financing and PPP projects, as well as in drug approval procedures and aviation law issues. Professor Dr Martin Meißner advises collective bodies and representatives on compliance issues, particularly the establishment and management of risk management systems and the implementation of regulatory requirements, especially ESG requirements. Alongside his work as a lawyer, he is a professor of business law at Mainz University of Applied Sciences.

Cihangir Agdemir was previously also a member of the Real Estate Group at Reed Smith in Frankfurt. He advises national and international clients on real estate law, focusing on transactions, project developments, commercial tenancy law, and public and private construction law. His focus is on individual and portfolio transactions in the asset classes of retail, logistics, residential, hotels, data centers, and office buildings. In addition, he represents clients in real estate litigation and is involved in the German-Turkish Lawyers' Association and pro bono projects for Lawyers Without Borders.
