FGvW appoints four new local partners as of January 2025

We are happy to announce that we are appointing four new local partners from our own ranks as of January 2025.

Max Maiorano-Fahr (Freiburg), specialist lawyer for labor and employment law, has been working as a lawyer at the Freiburg office since 2017. He advises and represents employers and managers in all areas of individual and collective labor and employment law. He focuses in particular on labor and employment law for foreign nationals as well as crisis and insolvency-related labor and employment law.

Peter Metzger (Freiburg) is a specialist lawyer for public procurement law and has been working in the areas of public and private construction and real estate law as well as public procurement law since 2011. He advises and represents clients as well as construction companies and planners at all stages of a project. In public procurement law, he acts for public clients as well as for applicants and bidders - in particular in the construction, medical technology and mobility sectors.

Dr. Stephanie von Riegen (Freiburg/Hamburg), specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law, has been advising companies on corporate law, M&A, restructurings and transformations since 2013. She also specializes in German and European antitrust law, in particular in connection with company acquisitions, the establishment of joint ventures and strategic cooperations between competitors. Her practice focuses on transaction support, including merger control proceedings and investment control under foreign trade law.

Dr. Hans Christian Wilms (Freiburg), a specialist lawyer for administrative law, has been the contact person for all matters of public law since 2019. In particular, he provides comprehensive advice to companies, institutions and the public sector with a focus on construction, environmental and energy law.

“It is a great success for our law firm to again be able to appoint four outstanding colleagues from our own ranks as Local Partners this year,” comments Carsten Laschet, spokesman for the management of FGvW. “The range of specialist activities of our four new local partners shows that the work we constantly invest in promoting and developing our young talent is bearing fruit across all specialist areas.”
