FGvW advises Global Gate Capital on the development of a project for a new logistics center in Unterschleißheim

FGvW has advised Global Gate, a leading international investment company, on its investment in the construction of a new logistics center in Unterschleißheim near Munich. The project with a volume of around 100 million euros is being realized for REPA, the European market leader in the distribution of spare parts and accessories for catering equipment. Panattoni, Europe's largest developer of industrial and logistics real estate will be the project developer.

The project near Munich will create a total rental area of 32,600 square meters on a site of 54,400 square meters held by Global Gate for many years. This will be divided into 25,300 square meters of storage space and 7,350 square meters for barrier-free office, technical and social rooms. In order to be certified according to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), the project is characterized by extensive measures to promote biodiversity. The development based on the build-to-own (BTO) model is part of Global Gate's strategy to expand its portfolio of sustainable properties in core German markets. The build-to-own model is becoming increasingly important in logistics, as it enables companies to create long-term, stable and customized solutions for their supply chains.

The aim of the project is for REPA to be able to supply customers and OEM partners with spare parts faster and thus offer an even better service with the help of state-of-the-art technology and the favorable location near the freeway and airport. In addition to the required warehouse space, the construction project will create an attractive working environment for several hundred employees.

Global Gate received comprehensive legal advice on the investment from a team specializing in real estate law in Frankfurt and Cologne, led by partner Dr Tom Erdt.
