FGvW advises shareholder of Polytec PT Polymere Technologien on sale to French Arkema

FGvW has advised the family-owned shareholder of Polytec PT Polymere Technologien on its sale to the listed Arkema Group. The transaction was completed on June 01, 2023. Polytec PT is a German-based company that produces thermal conductive materials for batteries and technical adhesives for the electronics market.

With the transaction, Arkema will strengthen the product offering of its Bostik adhesives division to serve the fast-growing battery and electronics markets. The acquisition is part of Arkema's strategy to become a full-service systems supplier that helps customers develop sustainable solutions for the battery and electronics markets.

Arkema is a publicly traded, multinational specialty materials manufacturer headquartered in Colombes, France. The company has three specialty materials businesses: adhesives (Adhesive Solutions), advanced materials (Advanced Materials) and coatings (Coating Solutions). The company has 21,100 employees and operates in around 55 countries, with 2022 sales of EUR 11.5 billion.
