We mourn the loss of our partner Volker Stehlin

Volker Stehlin had worked in our Freiburg office since 1998. His areas of practice were in the fields of private construction law, public law and real estate law. Volker Stehlin studied law in Tübingen and Freiburg. His doctorate was on the subject of "Involvement of administrative bodies organized under private law in traffic route planning".

As a passionate mountain biker and racing cyclist, he appreciated his adopted home of Freiburg not only for its beautiful nature, but also for its proximity to the Alps. From Freiburg, he was particularly drawn to Italy, which he loved for its culture, language and, not least, its culinary diversity.

Volker Stehlin was a valued, level-headed lawyer and advisor to numerous clients in our firm. He passed away on April 3, 2021 at the age of only 54.

We have lost a lively and kind colleague - we will always have fond memories of his warm, engaging personality.
