FGvW-Team Advises Sympatient GmbH on Its Second Seed-Financing Round

Sympatient GmbH, based in Hamburg (Germany), recently completed its second seed-financing round by raising equity in the amount of more than EUR 1.6 million. Beside business angels, the round was done by the swiss financing platform Investiere / Verve Capital Partners AG and Investitions- und Förderbank Hamburg IFB as lead investors.

Mr Christian Angern, Mr Julian Angern und Mr Benedikt Reinke founded Sympatient in 2017. Sympatient is the first digital therapeutics company to offer the completely digitized medical gold standard for anxiety therapy for patients’ use at home. It integrates contacts with a real therapist, app-based CBT, and exposure therapy through mobile virtual reality in a holistic care model.

Sympatient has been advised by our venture capital team under the lead of Dr. Alexander Hartmann and Dr. Christian Koehler LL.M. The team recently joined our firm and, together with the tax law team led by Oliver Ehrmann, founded our new office in Berlin.
