FGvW strengthens Frankfurt office: Alik Dörn joins Real Estate and Public Law Practice as Local Partner

We are further expanding our Frankfurt office. On September 1, 2017, lawyer Alik Dörn (44) joined us as local partner from Bird & Bird. Only recently, we strengthened the office with employment law specialist Susanne Lüddecke as local partner and as of October 2017, IP, copyright and media law expert Dr. Stephan Dittl will join as partner.

Alik Dörn is an expert in real estate, administrative and regulatory law and especially in public procurement law. He advises efficiently in complex and politically ambitious projects ensuring legal compliance in a pragmatic way. He has been providing legal advice in the area of real estate, regulatory and administrative law since 2004. Before joining FGvW he worked with Bird & Bird, Clifford Chance and KPMG Law.

Alik Dörn advises public clients (federal government, states, local authorities, public utilities, public financial institutions, universities, etc.) and private clients in the healthcare, transport/public transport, waste disposal, real estate, facility management and energy sectors and investors in particular in the areas of real estate, procurement, regulatory and state-aid law. His activities include support for real estate transactions and advice for the acquisition and disposal of real estate under civil law and for public bodies, especially in connection with energy projects and the establishment of facilities and production plants. Furthermore, he has extensive experience with public private partnerships (PPP), complex IT tenders, award of electricity concessions and rebate agreements awarded by public health insurers and the erection of power plants, pipelines and wind power plants (offshore and onshore). He also advises on the establishment and restructuring of public entities with regard to public law and represents bidders and public clients in review proceedings according to procurement law.

Alik Dörn will work closely together with the Frankfurt partners for real estate law (Dr. Tom Erdt) and employment law (Dr. Sabine Schröter and Susanne Lüddecke). He will also support the projects of partners at all of the firm's offices, including in the areas of real estate law, public commercial law, procurement and administrative law (Dr. Volker Stehlin and Dr. Friederike Schäffler), healthcare and M&A (incl. Dr. Barbara Mayer, Dr. Hendrik Thies, Dr. Jan Henning Martens), the energy sector (incl. Dr. Stefan Lammel) and plant construction (in particular Dr. Jörn Zons).
