This year‘s Hanover Fair (Hannover-Messe) with India as its partner country will take place from 13 – 17 April 2015. India`s prime minister Narenda Modi will travel to Germany for the opening of the fair. When Narendra Modi, India's first prime minister born after the country's independence, was sworn in on 26 May 2014 he promised “to take India's development journey to newer heights”. He also said, "Together we will script a glorious future for India. End of February 2015, the Modi-led Government presented the Budget 2015-16 in Parliament, announcing bold and decisive measures like the reduction of basic corporate tax rate to be reduced from 30% to 25% over the next 4 years with a corresponding reduction in tax exemptions. Objective of the business luncheon is to scrutinize the environment and perspectives for foreign investors in India under Modi.
