Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner was able to further strengthen its position at Best Lawyers. In the 2015 rankings, our firm is listed for the practice areas company law, intellectual property law, trademark and competition law, property and construction law, mergers and acquisitions, product liability law and arbitration.

Best Lawyers belongs to the most important international rating agencies for commercial lawyers who are leaders in their practice area. Only lawyers who are recommended by their already listed colleagues in a laborious procedure are included in the rankings. This approach ensures the high reliability of the lists of recommendations. For many years these rankings have been published in Germany by Handelsblatt exclusively.

In the practice areas trademark and competition law Wolfgang Schmid and Morton Douglas from our Freiburg office are recommended; in company law Tobias Lenz, Carsten Laschet and Björn Fiedler from our Cologne office, as well as Gerhard Manz and Barbara Mayer from Freiburg are listed. Tobias Lenz and Carsten Laschet are also listed in the area of product liability. In the practice area mergers and acquisitions F. Christian Genzow is recommended and for arbitration Friedrich Graf von Westphalen, both are located in our Cologne office.
