Barbara Mayer appointed to the German Delegation of the CCBE

Our Freiburg based partner Barbara Mayer has been appointed to the German Delegation of the CCBE (Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe, Commission de Conseil des Barreaux européens). The CCBE was founded in 1960 and is the association of the national bars of the EU member states and the EEA states Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The bars of some other countries are also associated (Turkey, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, the Ukraine). The CCBE therefore represents approximately one million lawyers vis-à-vis the EU institutions, especially by providing legal advice with regard to EU legislation. Furthermore, the CCBE cooperates with the respective non-European associations, such as the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
