Many of our clients have been operating in China for many years and we are also there. We assist our clients with negotiating contracts with Chinese customers and suppliers, acquiring companies and shareholdings in China, establishing joint ventures, enforcing claims, and in technology theft and product piracy cases. Vice versa we advise Chinese businesses who would like to invest, cooperate or trade in Europe. In order to accommodate the rapid development of the Chinese economy and the increasing demand for competent legal services in Chinese-German business dealings we have entered into a close cooperation with EunaCon Law, a fully licensed Chinese law firm under German management. The local team is made up of German and Chinese lawyers, who have had extensive experience in advising firms in the region, as well as contact with the authorities, associations and businesses in Asia for many years.
EunaCon Law is part of the EunaCon Consulting Group, which, apart from the law firm, also comprises the personnel service provider EunaCon HR and the accounting firm EunaCon Certified Public Accountants. Furthermore, since 2007 we have been working in China together with Mr. Stefan Peters, Rechtsanwalt (Lawyer), who has worked as Foreign Counsel / Partner at the Chinese Tian Yuan Law Firm. Stefan Peters, a lawyer who trained in Germany and is admitted to the German bar has been living and working in China for more than a decade. Apart from German and English, he also speaks Chinese (Mandarin) and is therefore one of the small number of German lawyers who have many years of experience in China, who speak the language of the country and who can advise on and help with not only legal matters but also cultural questions. Tian Yuan Law Firm has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu; with approximately 300 lawyers it is one of the largest independent Chinese law firms and is one of China's leading firms particularly in the areas of M&A, compliance, competition and cartel law, real estate law, intellectual property and capital markets law.
