Awarded: FGvW among the Top 50 German Commercial Law Firms

Friedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner (FGvW) maintains its strong positioning as one of the leading Commercial Law Firms in Germany. The editors of the industry magazine JUVE again included FGvW in the Top 50 in the 19th edition of the “JUVE Handbook German Commercial Law Firms”.

Every year, the JUVE publishing house releases a handbook in which all German commercial law firms are critically analyzed and rated. The ranking is based on extensive research at law firms, companies, representatives of public authorities and employees in judiciary and science. This year, of the more than 2.000 law firms analyzed by JUVE, 810 have been added to the handbook. Only the best among them are admitted to the ranking of the Top 50.

FGvW is especially mentioned in the practice areas Corporate Law and Corporate Transactions (M&A), Commercial and Liability, Trademark and Competition Law, Insurance Contract Law as well as Distribution Law.

Our Cologne office is awarded a “very successful” work, on one hand in the practice area of Distribution Law where it “is among the experienced players in the consultation of Automobile Dealer Associations. Its further core competence is in the Insurance Law area, inter alia with the nationwide recognized expert on Manager Liability and cross-border Product Liability cases, Prof. Dr. Tobias Lenz.”

According to JUVE, the Freiburg office of FGvW “is, by far, still the leading firm in the region. Only few firms specialized on medium-sized companies have participated in a series of public acquisitions.” Furthermore, FGvW is known to have “a strong reputation especially in connection with international M&A transactions.”
